Hold a young alligator, help feed the big ones, and hand feed the friendliest capybaras in Florida. Small group encounters led by our animal team, plus hands on moments included with every visit.
Our guided encounters take you further: meet alligators at every stage of life, hold and feed them alongside our expert handlers, spend time with our capybara crew, or book the private VIP Experience and do it all with your own guide.
Encounters are add ons. A separate general admission ticket is required to enter the farm and take part, and encounters may change due to weather or animal availability.

Go beyond simply seeing alligators. Meet baby alligators, hold a juvenile gator, and experience the thrill of feeding some of our larger gators while our animal team shares fascinating facts and answers your questions along the way.
Capybaras are the world’s largest rodents, but their calm personalities and social nature are what make them special. Meet our capybaras up close, learn about their behaviors, and feed and gently interact with them while respecting their comfort and choice.
The whole farm, privately. A private airboat ride, a private alligator encounter, a private capybara encounter, and a reptile meet and greet with your own dedicated guide, plus souvenirs, refreshments, and admission to the farm and all shows.
No booking needed for these. Show times are scheduled when you check in at the front desk.
An educational handling demonstration at 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM. At the end of the show, guests can hold a baby alligator for a memorable photo.
Watch hundreds of alligators gather for their meal at 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM and 4 PM while our team explains how these powerful reptiles hunt and survive.
Alligators, crocodiles, caimans, capybaras, snakes, turtles, birds, a bobcat, fennec foxes and more along the walking trails and exhibits.
Our animal team guides every interaction, sharing information about behavior, biology, and conservation while ensuring a safe and educational experience for both guests and animals. Animals participate at their own comfort level and we never force an interaction.
Yes. During the Alligator Encounter guests have the opportunity to hold alligators of different sizes, including hatchlings, juveniles, and medium sized alligators, and to take part in feeding larger alligators. Activities may vary depending on animal behavior, safety, and daily conditions.
No. General admission and airboat rides are not included. A separate general admission ticket is required to enter Everglades Alligator Farm and take part in an encounter. The VIP Experience is the exception: it includes admission and all shows.
All encounters are for ages 6 and up. Younger kids can still enjoy the live shows and hold a baby alligator after the handling show.
Advance reservations are recommended for every encounter. Encounters may change due to weather or animal availability.
Yes! Guests are welcome to capture their own memories throughout the experience.
